Art Under the Oak

As the flowers bloom and the sun shines brighter, the Imperial Calcasieu Museum is thrilled to announce the return of Art Under the Oak! Join us for a delightful family-friendly festival beneath the MajesticSallier Oak on March 24th from 12 pm to 3 pm. (If it’s rainy, the festival will be moved inside the museum).

There is so much to look forward to! Our good friend, the Easter Bunny, will be hopping on over to help spread cheer and excitement among children and adults alike. Create some cherished memories with ourdear bunny friend by joining in on our Bunny Games. Experience the wonder of nature up close at the Almosta Ranch’s mini petting zoo, where gentle animals await to enchant visitors of all ages. From fluffy bunnies and ducks to Munch the tortoise, it’s an opportunityto connect with the wonders of the natural world.

Indulge your senses in a vibrant pop-up market brimming with local arts, crafts, and delectable treats. As we say, “Shop Local Arts, Eats, and Treats,” and support the talents of our community while savoringdelicious bites and discovering unique treasures. Vendors participating include: Maya Designs, Deb Barbier Pottery, K. Soileau Designs, Whimsical Banana, ICM Face Painting, BS Pottery, Paint & Fire, SWACO Socks, Manipura Artisanal Soaps, Squirrelly Scribbles,Laser It Studios, Ulalune Studio, Art of Page Gardner, Rosemary Jesionowski, Homestyle Candle Co, Hilliard Home, Bayou Bling by JC, The Mac Box, Carolyn’s Creations, Hilicious Food Truck, Sweet Citrus Lemonade, and Diana’s Cakes, Confections, and more.

Explore the rich tapestry of history and culture at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum, with complimentary admission for all Art Under the Oak attendees. Our current history exhibits include: The History of Mardi Gras, the Hall of Heroes, and But Not Forgotten featuring local legacies.

And don’t forget to catch a last look at the creativity of our region’s young artists at the CPSB Student Art Exhibition, marking the culmination of their talent and dedication. Join us in applauding their achievements and fostering a love for the arts in the next generation.
