The historic Sallier Oak stands a testament to the resilience of the Lake Charles community. Hardy and flexible, the Sallier has endured countless harsh environmental conditions for hundreds of years. On November 8, it will provide to us a gorgeous venue under which we will come together under a common cause: the continued support of our mission at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum.

November 8, 2024 marks the third annual Lighting of the Oak, a night where we celebrate under the boughs of the historic Sallier. Our facilities will be open and full of activities that night, including a live auction, silent auction, split the pot raffle, dueling pianos, some of the best food and drink in the lake area, live painting, and more. Please consider sponsoring to enjoy our VIP area, where you will have exclusive access to a separate lounge space and personalized service.

Monies raised through Lighting of the Oak will support museum operations directly. Importantly, this year’s proceeds will go directly towards the museum’s new Education Outreach Initiative, a brand new program that will aid our children in gaining valuable creative education.
