Join us for a special evening at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum as we celebrate the opening of Seeing Nature Through Eyes Wide Open, a solo exhibition by beloved local artist Sue Zimmermann.
With roots in Lake Charles and a lifelong connection to the region’s landscape, Sue Zimmermann paints from a place of deep observation and emotional resonance. Her work—rooted in watercolor—brings a fresh perspective to the familiar: rooftops glimpsed through trees, soft reflections in the marsh, or fleeting shadows on the water.
A working artist with a lifetime of experience, Sue’s creative journey continues to inspire students and collectors alike. Eyes Wide Open is a celebration of her ever evolving artistic voice.
