Explore the art of functional ceramics in this Incense & Backflow Burner Workshop led by Abigail Brumett. Participants will work with clay to design and hand build their own unique incense burner, with the option to create a traditional holder or experiment with a backflow design that allows smoke to cascade through the finished piece.
Learn basic hand building, sculpting, texture, and decorative techniques while considering how form and airflow work together to create a functional piece of art. Participants are encouraged to experiment with shape, pattern, and personal style to make each burner completely their own.
No prior clay experience is required. All materials will be provided.
