BRANCH OUT KIDS SUMMER CAMP
The Branch Out Summer Art Camp program has been a mainstay at the museum for over 30 years. This 6-week program teaches over 300 K-8 grade children the fundamentals of art making, including drawing, painting, pastels, ceramics, function & form, color theory, and papercraft. The 2026 themes include Blast from the Past and Masterpiece Mashup.
Campers will embark on two creative adventures: exploring cultural differences and aesthetic styles from various historical eras, and examining iconic masterpieces that inspire hands-on, creative projects. Through guided instruction and exploration, children will strengthen foundational art skills while developing problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and creative expression.
Branch Out provides a meaningful educational experience that builds confidence, curiosity, and a deeper appreciation for how art reflects diverse cultures across time. Contributions directly support teacher salaries, art supplies, promotional
materials, and snacks for campers.
Importantly, dollars contributed will enable children who otherwise would not have access to the arts the opportunity to attend Branch Out free of charge. These scholarships are the lifeblood of equality of opportunity at ICM, and are easily the most impactful dollars you can provide.
